Ethical, Professional, Compassionate Representation

My name is Jack Herzig. I am an immigration lawyer with over twenty years experience in the field. My goal is to provide you with professional and compassionate service to help you succeed in your legal matters.

My Areas of Expertise:

  • Deportation and Removal Defense
  • Marriage Petitions
  • Fiancé Petitions
  • Family Petitions
  • Asylum law
  • Appeals to the Board of Immigration Appeal and Circuit Courts

My Background and Philosophy

Immigrants who come to these shores are entitled to respect and admiration for all they contribute to our society. My family were refugees in Europe following the Second World War and I take each and every case to heart and do whatever I can to defend those whose lives are at stake, those who fear returning to their homeland, and those who wish to remain in this country of freedom. I consider myself honored to have immigrants as my clients. I admire their work ethic, their sense of family, their sense of duty and responsibility. I admire their religious faith and above all, their faith in the future. My faith in God and in humanity are always strengthened in my interactions with new immigrants. Our country is blessed to have them as members of our society.

My Experience in Family Petitions

I have worked on petitions for husbands, wives, children, siblings, and fiancees. My success rate has been far above 90 percent. In fact, the only cases I have lost, until now, have been ones where the clients were not entirely up-front with me about the facts of their case. If you subtract those from the list, the percentage is close to 100 percent!

My Litigation Experience

I have represented thousands of clients at regional asylum offices and in removal proceedings before the Immigration Courts in Arlington, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Newark (NJ), Charlotte (NC), and New Orleans and before the Board of Immigration Appeals, (the highest administrative level interpreting and applying immigration laws). I have also represented clients in cases before the First, Second, Third and Ninth Circuit Courts of Appeal.
